Prayers
- God's financial provision for this trip. We sent our support letters out on Friday! (Click here if you'd like to support us.)
- Our visas to be approved. The Blessings have submitted an invitation letter for us to Ukraine's Religious Affairs office and subsequently had to send a copy of our entire passports (we had to scan every single page!) translated into Ukrainian. We are awaiting their approval, which would mean we could get a visa. We hope to receive approval before leaving. If we do not, we can be in the country for up to 90 days as tourists. (If this is the case, when we receive approval, we'll have to take a quick trip to Poland or another country and re-enter Ukraine under the other visa.) We don't know if the current unrest affects processes like this or not, but surely political instability can only complicate processes like this that already take a long time! Please pray for all these details to be worked out.
- Wisdom and provision regarding cars. Sparing all the details, we are facing some repairs for our cars. We are trying to decide the best course of action for our cars while we're gone.
- Logistics and details of leaving. Continued prayer would be appreciated as we continue to work on wrapping life up here in the US
Praise
- We have the time to take care of preparing for our trip without working. What a blessing!
- We got to be at the baptism of one of our best friends from college, who believed in Jesus Christ as his savior on Easter Sunday!
- We have had time to rest and relax and enjoy some quality time with each other as we prepare. For the past few years, with church commitments, Maggie's work travel, and various other things, we've been so busy. Although this is part of life and is, at times, to be expected, it has been a tremendous blessing to take life at a slower pace for a little while and enjoy spending time together.
